J.D. Holtrop is originally from Chicago, Illinois. He currently serves as the Director of Technology for the Baishan Education Group, which includes several world class education programs such as the Baishan Montessori Education Teacher Institute (BMTEI). During his tenure, he and his team have worked closely with leadership to create, manage, and advance the technology programs and provide the training necessary to support the creation, growth, organization, implementation, and accreditation of all the programs and accreditations which include being the first American Montessori School (AMS) accredited school in Asia, the first IB World School in Shandong, China as well as a full member of the Middle States Association and the Council of International Schools (CIS).
He is a trilingual award-winning educator, author, artist, athlete, musician, coach, and lifelong learner. He received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and his master’s degree from Indiana University.
