The Administrator program at BMTEI is conducted in English and Chinese with translation. This course prepares adults for working in management positions within a Montessori school (principal, academic leader, admissions director, etc.). The minimum time frame for completion of the certification course is twelve months. The course is held according to enrolment demand.
In this course, adult learners will develop a deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy and curriculum, of school and educational leadership, and school operations. Adult learners will practice observation, analysis and reflection to assess teacher performance, learner outcomes and school operations.
On completion of this course, adult learners will possess the tools and knowledge to successfully take a school through the AMS school accreditation process.
Academic Phase – 354 hours
9-month internship (5 days a week) in a management position within a school with at least one Montessori classroom with field supervision.
PRACTICUM: minimum of 720 hours, 5 days a week.
