BMTEI conducts an Infant Toddler Montessori teacher education course in English and Chinese with translation. The course is MACTE-accredited and affiliated by AMS. It prepares adults to work with children from birth to 3 years old. The minimum time frame for completion of the certification course is twelve months. The course is held every summer.

The Infant Toddler course focuses on helping adults to understand the dramatic developmental changes occurring in the first three years of life.

Academic Phase – 210 hours

Practicum Phase

9-month internship (5 days a week) in a Montessori classroom with field supervision
Three seminars accompany the internship during the Practicum phase.

Practicum A minimum of 540 hours, 5 days a week.

Weekend Seminars (x3) take place concurrent with Practicum during the holidays or weekends.
